The German Wurst Adventure is a campaign created by Nordic Travel Bloggers in cooperation with German National Tourist Office (GNTO) in Norway.
During the project, seven Norwegian Travel Bloggers will explore Germany by train, tasting German Wurst specialities along the way.
Our main sponsors for the project besides GNTO are DB Bahn who will provide the bloggers with first class train tickets throughout the journey and Best Western Hotels who will provide the bloggers with hotel rooms along the way.
We have also teamed up with some fantastic regions and cities facilitating the local wurst tasting activities and welcoming us to their region. The travel route goes from Freiburg, via Frankfurt, Kassel, Hann Münden, Berlin, Erfurt, Thuringia, Nuremberg and Coburg and ends in Munich. Read more about the regions here.
The campaign focuses strongly on Real-Time Storytelling during the journey. There will be a daily Periscope broadcast (username @NordicTB), and lots of pictures, videos, check-ins and stories on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter from all the bloggers using #WurstAdventure.
We will also takeover GNTO’s Instagram account for 13 days during the trip. All updates will appear on our Social Wall. During the trip we will also keep a Travel Journal which is updated on a daily basis.
