NordicTB launched the #JulestemningTyskland social media campaign in collaboration with the German National Tourist Office in Norway, to create content about German Christmas and traditions, aimed towards the Norwegian market. The campaign was designed to showcase what impact German traditions had on the Norwegian Christmas celebration, and to keep Germany as a destination top of mind, without encouraging people to travel now. The #JulestemningTyskland campaign was a digital campaign only and involved no travels.
The campaign was conducted during December 2020 and consisted of blog posts, social media sharing, and separate social media postings about German Christmas traditions. A box of German Christmas Treats were sent to the storytellers and included in their content.
Five Norwegian influencers representing five different blogs wrote about their thoughts on German Christmas Traditions, sharing it as knowledge about, and an inspiration to create the feeling of German Christmas at home.
All bloggers were free to include previous experiences about German Christmas traditions and to include the different products in the gift box. The bloggers had a minimum deliverance of one blog post + social media sharing of the post. In addition, they had to create a minimum of one (1) separate Facebook postings (photos), one (1) Instagram grid photo/video, and three (3) Facebook and/or Instagram stories with their best inspiration.
